FEMALE MAKER CLUB: Circular Futures – When Waste Speaks Through Data

Waste Speaks in Data—Practical Solutions for Clean Cities + A Personal Perspective on Innovation in the Circular Economy

At the FEMALE MAKER CLUB:circular, you’ll meet female makers and aspiring and established female founders every month who are working in the field of circular everyday products and circular business models. You’re passionate about physical everyday products and circular business models that go the extra mile—ones that make an ecological, social, or economic impact. The focus is on circular product design: durable materials, repairable products, and recyclable concepts such as sustainable furniture, reusable packaging, upcycled products, smart household gadgets, resource-efficient mobility solutions, and innovative textiles.

Then this group is the right fit for you! Our goal is to raise the profile of female makers from all walks of life, support them with expertise, and help them connect with one another.

From 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., the MakerLab and its machines serve as a safe space for women who want to use the lab’s equipment for free, with or without guidance. At 5:00 p.m., we’ll start with a short keynote presentation followed by a discussion session.

You can choose to sign up for both rounds or just one of them

Procedure:

  • 3:00–5:00 p.m. Working on machines of your choice in the MakerLab
  • 5:00–6:30 p.m. Keynote presentation and discussion session

This time, we're speaking with Alisa Möhrke, project manager at Remondis Digital Services.

What happens when trash cans, containers, and urban spaces are viewed not just as infrastructure, but as part of a smart cycle? In her keynote presentation, Alisa Möhrke of REMONDIS Digital will show how digital products can help rethink urban cleanliness: through sensors, data, dynamic route planning, and solutions that make operational processes in cities smarter and more resource-efficient.

This presentation combines concrete insights into digital circular economy innovation with a personal perspective on an industry in transition: What is it like to drive innovation in an environment shaped by decades of experience, regulatory requirements, and operational realities? And what opportunities arise when we view the circular economy not only from a technical perspective, but also from a human one? A source of inspiration for everyone who sees cities and the circular economy as something that can be shaped—and who believes that true innovation begins in everyday life.

  • This is going to be exciting!

We look forward to seeing you!
